Sunday mornings will never be the same again! Babies change everything! Let me tell you a little story about this past Sunday morning. It began like any other Sunday morning...
...Wake up. Shower. Get ready. Breakfast. Now you add feed baby, change baby's diaper, find her cute little outfit that makes all the older women at church go "Ooo"! Get her in the carseat. grab keys and Bibles and...go! Go! GO!!!
However, our little sweetie has a strange sense of humor. We were on schedule! We were going to make it to chrurch on time this week! ...Naomi had other plans. We get her to the carseat and...
AN EXPLOSION OCCURS!!!!!!
She has a super smelly diaper, yet we were unaware of what was lurking in the shadows of her size 1 diaper. Stephen takes her to the nursery, sets her down, and HOLY MACKEREL! It's EVERYWHERE! Our sweet little girl has given us a present that is NOT sweet by ANY definition!! We see that she has gotten it onto her onesie, sock and shoe! This means we have to hurry and get her dress off, changer her diaper, get new socks, clean off her shoes, put on a new onesie and socks, and get her cute little dress back on. We are making good time...it's only 10:05. We have plenty of time! We get her dress back on, and I finish the buttons. Perfect!....but wait! NO!!! It has gotten onto her DRESS, and there is no time for cleanup! Ugh!
Ok, new dress! Still cute, but not as cute! Wipe the shoe off, slap them back on! Now on to the carseat! We are just about to put her in, when I realize...it hit the carseat too!!!! At this point we are relieved that the Mother in law gave us a backup! No time to waste! We get her into the carseat, get her into the car. It's only 10:25 am. We will only be 15 min late...not bad. Yay! We are on our way, and then I look at my hand....HOW did it get THERE??
We get to church, everything goes well...we still get the Oooo's and Aahhh's from the older women. She is super cute! Stephen and I are all dressed up. His brother walks up to Stephen and says, "Why is your belt yellow?" He has is all over his belt and the bottom of his shirt!! Later we are at lunch, and it shows up on his sleeve! She has hit us hard! Sweet little Naomi...
Moral of the story...Life doesn't go the way you want it to. There are always going to be hurdles. Be prepared to take it as it comes. Enjoy the hiccups...and the explosive poop... because they can sometimes give the most enjoyment. Learn to laugh when life throws you the crazy moments! Finally, when you have children...chances are you'll never fully be on time to church, and there are better things to life than looking perfect on Sunday morning...

Oh dear... :P You're not the first one it's happened to, though. :) And don't you agree babies are worth it? :D
